2 weeks ago I move my 5G Nano tank over to my new 66G setup, I used 60lbs of Purple Reef Rock (synthetic live rock) and the rock from my 5G tank. I have 3 small fish in there and 5 small frags that were in my 5G. I tested my CA and Alk levels and was surprised to find my Alk at 10 and my CA at 300. I'm using the Brightwell NeoMarine Salt so I would not expect these parameters. I have dosed a supplement to get my CA up to closer to 400 and it looks like it is using around 25ppm a day of CA but the Alk never changes. Not sure what would be using the CA this quickly, my old LR is in my fuge with Macro Algae that is lit opposite of DT lighting.

Should I worry about the low CA and high Alk or just leave it be?

If cycling, I wouldn't worry about it right now.

What's your magnesium?
