New setup

I am in the process of setting up a 60 gallon cube saltwater tank and my local fish store told me to put in about 4" of sand, which I did. I purchased Carib-Sea aragonite and it came with a water clarifier which I put in also. The water cleared up in a day or 2 but overtime I try to put a rock in the sand swirls around and then my pump in the refugium blows sand back into the tank covering the rocks and clouding it up again. How can I fix this? I now have sand in the refugium due to this. Please help.

My guess is that you have too much flow in the tank that is causing a bit of a dust storm? What kind/how much flow do you have?

It's inevitable with sand settling to get some in the sump, for what it's worth

The flow is minimal right now. Will it continue to blow up from the sump?

If there's too much flow in the sump, yes until it's gone. Sorry I misread

Do you have a photo of the setup? I'd also remove 2" of sand. did you rinse the sand if it was dry? generally you want to place the rock in the tank before the sand.
