I got this off Ebay Seems to be the real deal

can I ask how much you paid for it?

Well if it is a Sherman I got it for a steal $68. If it is not a sherman the price is still not too bad cause it is a looker. I am pretty confident that it is a sherman. There is no green at all and it has gorgeous white central stripes

I don't recall seeing to many bubbly shermans. Doesn't mean they don't but I don't recall seeing it. The shermans don't have that much white webbing either but again doesn't mean it's not one. If you don't have the lineage then it's anyone's guess.

The foot was uniform in color.
What color is foot? Sherman does not aving webbing on outside,, if foot is colored, not sherman most likely black widow

What’s interesting is that all the posts I can find from the DFW club seem to refer to the Sherman morph as BTA. What was the original species?

It’s a BTA you just usually see them with long flowing tentacles. I had several that never bubbled and the people I know that had them never bubbled up. Doesn’t mean there’s not one that does but I’m my experience I haven’t seen one.

In my experience. Sherman's usually don't really bubble, that being said I have a buddy who has several identical tanks plumbed together and in one of the tanks they are indeed bubbled. However what you have is not a Sherman. Sherman does not have the white webbing between the tentacles. It looks like it could be a Black Widow depending on the foot color.

The nem has really stayed bubbkef. Actually nuch more than the other RBTAs in the tank. The foot looked to be a unifirm color. What color is a black eidiw’s foot

It has a red foot So it must be a black widow. Its is interesting because from my reading some say that the Sherman and the black widow are the same morph. There seems to be a lot of different opinions on this. Just like everything else in this hobby.

Ok. To sum this up
Shermans have no white streaks
Shermans tend not to bubble
Both have similar mouth color and tenticle color
Black widow has red foot

What is the color of the sherman foot

Sherman is just pale, bw has texture on tentacles , color vaies with health so tough to judge, they are all bta, just diff strains, just to say morph is wrong because morph is more of a term of color shift, cant get webbing by morphing

People who say Sherman and Black Widow are the same are mistaken, but I really haven't seen that much. Sherman does have some webbing but only around the mouth, not around the rest of the disk like around the tentacles that the BW has. The Sherman to me next to a Black Widow is more light red than Dark Red that the BW is, but that might be harder to tell without experience with both. Sherman foot is tan flesh colored, BW is dark.
