New shrimp just molted..

Hi,

got a new peppermint shrimp yesterday, it seems to have molted already. is this normal behaviour and should I leave the skin in for the CUC..?

Yes after they molt I usually pull the remains out

Hi, moulting is normal.. my shrimps do this at least once a month. Not sure about leaving for CUC I take out as it’s normally rammed in my Nero 5 when I find it.

I always used to pull them out, if I can reach them. That is so fascinating to watch if you can ever catch it.

shrimps often molt when first introduced into new tank. nothing to worry, and honestly no need to pull the shell out it disintegrates overtime.
