I just got a Six line wrasse yesterday and I am not sure if is dying or just hiding.

I have a 29 Gal. reef tank with lots of corals, 1 Royal Gramma and 1 Coral beauty. Yesterday and got two gorgeous Galaxy clowns, one Black Combtooth Blenny and one Six line wrasse. Everybody seem to me adapting great, but the Six line wrasse is missing in action. I saw it this morning laying down sideways between rocks and noticed it was breathing really hard… i moved things around a bit and ran away. I saw it for few seconds 15 minutes after all confused in front of the tank then ran behind some rocks. I have not seen him ever since… is there any chance is just hiding?

Any similar experiences out there?

I bought one a month ago. I saw it for 5 min the first day then never again, ever. I read they jump so I checked the floor and back filters. Nothing. Today my son found him happy in the reservoir. It's a small space I have to clue how to get him out. Check everywhere, and careful when moving rocks because they like to hang out under the sand bed. Good luck

Wow, happy story :) i lost a black clown like that, he figured a way out of the tank. I found him a month later on the floor covered in spider webs, lol...

Thank you, i'll keep checking. I hope i find him :)

Six Line Wrasses along with a great deal other fish just need a few days to adapt to their new tank. I wouldn't worry too much if you just added it. This is pretty normal behavior.

Hes prolly just hiding in the sand mine sleeps in it, dont worry he'll be out soon enough to bully everyone lol
