Hey guys!
First let me introduce myself. My name is Daniel and I have a slight addiction to Saltwater Fish Tanks. I have been in the hobby for 2 years now and have been wanting to join for a while but haven't taken the time to attend a meeting. I know Darren and have probably met a few of you at local LFS's but didn't realize. I usually visit the LFS with my greyhound Gracie. Anyway onto more important matters. I have a 75 gallon tank with a 40b sump that is currently skimmerless. Unfortunately when I first started, I bought a trickle filter with a locally made protein skimmer that doesn't work to the standards that I would like that has now taken a giant dump on me and quit. I am now in the market for a new/used good quality protein skimmer (Reef Octopus, Vertex, Aquamaxx, Avast Marine, etc.) if anyone has one for sale and could give me some good recommendations based on previous experience. Thanks in advance!!!!

Hey Daniel, she does still have that skimmer. Her husband is supposed to be bringing it to the meeting. She's asking $150 for it.

I sure don't. She said her softies didn't like it because it was "too clean" (the water) and when she put the old skimmer back in and the water "dirtied" back up a little, they seemed to love it. I think she said they paid something like $250 for it new if that helps.. .
