Started off with one Green BTA a while ago. That one got really big and then split into 2 and eventually those got really big and split into 2 more within a couple of days of each other. In the mean time I got a small Rose BTA. The Rose and 2 of the Green BTAs are doing great, the Rose is growing like a weed. 2 of the Green BTAs took up residence under a cave rock and haven't come out. Now one of them is stark white and laying on the bottom under the rock. My clowns are still swimming in it. Why are they hiding when 2 others just like them are doing great? I had added some current to the tank but haven't changed any lighting.

Any insight is appreciated.

You might try to run some carbon. Nems give off a scent (similar to coral warfare) to warn off other nems.

Here is a pic of one of the pale ones.

Will the carbon be bad for my Tangs and Dwarf Angel? I have read that carbon causes hhlle in these fish....

A small amount of carbon in a media bag shouldn't be of concern to your fish.
