New stand ,and sump build

Did my second coat today !!

Oops that's a first coat pic lol $ gonna find something really nice and decorative for the all black door I'm thinking something , copper , brass or silver

thats a second coat pic , tomorrow I'm gonna throw a third coat on it. And finish my PVC plumbing once that's laid out in gonna glue some lighting diffuser up to hold my PVC sock holder in place

that's the sick holder I'm drilling just gonna put a few more holes in higher and then scrub with vinegar. Full sump test and set this bad boy up. !!hopefully before thanksgiving ill do the whole switch , hopefully I can do it alone in one day !

Will definitely follow this as I am working on my 72 build now. What sump is that? Trying to decide if I should learn how to mold acrylic or change the stand. I'd like to use a 40b for a sump but not sure if it will fit under

It's a 30g tank. Had the glass cut and glued th in

That's smart, what are the dimensions you used and where did you get it cut? Did you glue it or have it glued. Thanks!

Find a rank the size you want and then decide how you want it built the get the panels cut to fit properly , I got it cut at a glass shop lowes might do it. Google sump designs and you'll get over a hundred pics of sumps and systems set up and pick what u like.

And then once you got everything ask a friend or local reefer to give you a hand assembling it's easy. As long as there no beer involved. Should take a few hours and everything should be straight ! ( we were tipsy and a baffles a little bit crooked)

Pipes all glued perfect, and found some cool clamps

Over flow hose is temporarily in place wanna get a barbed fitting a 45 and a small piece to run into the sock so there's less noise

and I built the protein skimmer

A few more things to do and I'm ready ! And in the future I'll make a canopy that sits on the small rim around the tank

the tank sits in that little 1 inch border !

So to clarify the sump is custom glass panels or are you talking about the inside? I understand how to manufacture the inside panels. It's the tank itself. I think I'm gonna use a 40Breeder for my 72 sump but I haven't checked if the tank itself will fit

Just the inside,, I put the baffles in with a friend , if you wanna build your own tank check out u tube and see the king of DIY he's gotta whole video just for building tanks. A 40b might not fit under the stand ,, a good 35g or a 40 long might be better

Tomorrow Is the day !!!! Tomorrow I change I've the stand!! I change my crushed coral to sand ,, and I add a sump a new bubble magus 5 and a gfo reactor to the set up. I'm so exciting constantly going Over my list to make sure I have all my supplies ! , and am ready to roll thanks to all that have helped and gave advice ,,, especially Chris. !! Thanks to u homey this gonna happen !!
