New stand build, will this skimmer fit?

Going to start building a new stand soon, but I may have already run into a problem. This will be for my 120g tank, sump is a 75g tank. I was thinking the stand height will be around 40" or so, maybe 42".

Problem area, I already have an AquaC EV 1000 coming my way, I don't quite yet have it but it is paid for and waiting for me. With skimmer size of 32", and sump sitting ~4" up, I don't know if i will have enought clearance to remove the collection cup. That only leaves 4" for the cup removal. Does anyone know how tall the cup is? And how much room i'd need to easily remove it without a hastle when it needs cleaning?

Not sure about that model but most collection cups only need about a 1/2" to remove them.

Really? Is that it? I was thinking more like 8" to remove the cup.

Just make sure that you have enough room from the top of your sump to the bottom of the top frame of the stand that the collection cup can be removed without tipping it. I ran into this with my 120 gallon and 40B sump. Putting a 75 under there would be pretty tight for sure. So while I had plenty of room to remove the collection cup from the top of my Reef Octopus NWB-200, I couldn't get it out of the from opening because there wasn't enough clearance above the sump to get it out thr from opening. I had my bottom of the stand level with the bottom of the from door opening, so I ended up having to take the plywood floor out and the 2x4s that were holding it 3.5" off the ground. I then too the plywood and just attached it to the bottom of the stand. It raised the whole stand up 1/2", but gave me the extra 4" of depth (dropped the sump 4" lower) that my collection cup comes out with ease now.

So measure how much space you would have above your sump and below the top of the from door opening and see if the collection cup will fit. That should be your only issue.
