New stand build

Just finishing up my new tank stand for my 50G Nuvo tank. Store wanted $400 for a “fabricated stand”. $120 later I have this beauty to display.

looks great! I too have made most of my stands. After seeing how expensive (but cheaply made) many stands are, I found building my own to be a great way to save money and have a one of a kind look.

This looks awesome - do you have plans or a video on how you made it? Came out awesome and I’m looking to build one for a new 5 gal tank I have coming!

No plans or video, I just built a basic frame out of 2x4's and then covered with this barn wood I picked up at the HD. Thanks for the compliment!

No, I am what you call a jack of all and master of none LOL. I do enjoy woodworking as a hobby but almost all self taught

Thanks! The barn wood came pre-stained those colors. I got it a HD, they come in a box in about 4' lengths. Each box was about $40 and it took most of 2 boxes.
