Hey guys, Im quickly becoming a stick head and have found yet another addiction in this hobby!

I need some placement advice for a few new acquisitions please. My tank is a 60 cube 24x24x24 with the Aquatinics TX5Ho 5x24 watt fixture.

So ya, just picked up a mini colony of what I believe to be a 20K Lokani and a GARF Purple Bonzi!

Where do you suggest I put them in regards to flow and light for optimal growth and coloration?

They both like strong random flow. I would place them both in the upper 1/3rd of the tank - that has seemed to work well for me with both of these - just my opinion of course.

The placement will depend on your lighting and water clarity. Personally I have my Bonsai in the upper 1/3rd of the tank, while the 20K Lakani likes being placed lower in the system. I used to get a great deep purple in my Bonsai put now that my water is very clear and due to the T5's it is more of a pastel.

welcome to the DarkSide... are you dosing 2 part yet? if not and your getting into SPS you might want to pick some up from BRS along with some Test kits for ALK, Mag and Cal...

Ya, I've been growing a few nicer one's in the DT and some frags in grow out for a few months now. Just not sure with some for lighting, they are all so sensitive and growth has been too slow for me. Im not sure that the BRS 2 part is consistent enough for me. Either I need to start dosing Kalk, or better use my Rkeeper systems.
