New stocking list for a 110gal mixed reef

hey all,

I’m sure these get posted a lot, so I appreciate the time and consideration.

I have a Red Sea reefer 525 xl tank that’s been up and running for a couple months. It is a 108 gallon DT with a 30 gallon sump. Used dry rock and live sand. Plan to make it a mixed reef with corals that will be suitable for the following fish stock included below. Just throwing this out here to get some feedback on the fish I have selected and some general advice on what corals I can likely keep.

Stocking list:

Fish:

(2) ocellaris snowflake clowns
(1) regal angel
(1) bella goby
(1) multibar angel
(1) blue throat trigger
(1) bicolor Blenny
(1) yellow tang
(1) leopard wrasse

Inverts:

(1) rbt anemone
(10) banded trochus snails
(10) nessarious snails
(3) hawloween hermits

That’s all I have on my list for now. All feedback and/or criticism is appreciated!

Yea I understand angels are always risky.. but I’ve heard that these two are among he more reef safe and usually enjoy select corals.. of which I would avoid..

Curious on the goby. Why wait?

It just takes a while to build up fauna in the sand bed for them to eat. In my experience, a little more than half of sand sifting gobies will transition to food that’s offered. Best to hedge your bets and make sure the tank is established and that the sand bed has a chance to get populated.

Another word of warning: a lot of those gobies come in w/internal parasites and they can be really hard to get rid of (impossible if they don’t accept fish food). Even good eaters can have a short shelf-life.

Thanks for the explanation.. makes sense. Is there any way to help get them to eat prepared foods or any food they may take to? I really like the bella goby in particular and would rather not wait a year to add one.

I would love to get some angel fish as I just gave 2 away that were shipped to me by accident, a copperband and a pearlscale angel, but having corals in my DT already it wasn't worth the risk. Good luck on the angel fish as they r beautiful.

Agree with the goby, I have been waiting on a goby as they have a tendacy to completely wipe out their food supply if it's not an established population of fauna.

Thanks for the input so far! I realize the angels are a risk as far as coral goes.. but I’m going to add the fish first and then add the corals later and will try to stick to what others have said they ignore. If I notice them taking a liking to a certain type I will avoid it. I also realize the tank is right on the cusp as far as size, but I’m hoping to get the fish small or medium and then will see how they do. If they eventually get too big or are not doing well I will rehome then.
