Hi all!

I just bought 2 Tamco vertical storage tanks (food safe!). I vacuumed out the plastic debris inside from where they cut the hole for the bulkhead. I poured one gallon of RO in, rolled the tank around to rinse it out, drained it, and then did it again on both tanks. Are they now ready to use to store RO and SW? Is there any step I need to do to prepare them for service?

Also, I want to fill one tank and let it sit overnight to check for leaks, then empty it out and use that water to fill the other one up and let it sit overnight out in the garage before I bring them into the house. [Call me crazy (or anal) but I've seen brand new jugs at the fish store have a tiny crack that you didn't notice until you filled them up so if they leak, I'd rather it be in the garage] After I'm done, is that water safe to use in the fish tank? That little voice in my head keeps telling me to pour it on the lawn and start over with new water. It's only 25 gallons. And I have had to use a net to catch out a couple little pieces of debris, probably from being out in the garage with the door up, when I had some water in them to test the fittings for leaks (and they leaked). What do you folks think? Keep it or dump it?

dump it just to b on the safe side

Ok.

What about the tanks? Seems like I read somewhere that you need to prime (?) the container you're going to store saltwater in (like a Brute can). Do I need to do anything to the new tanks before I start using them?
