Is there some new illegal drug that is made with hydrogen peroxide? I can not find anything but the over priced ones with the spray nozzle that is half the volume and 4x’s the price! This is ridiculous.

IDK

I use H2O2 to clean my camper's water tanks, and I recently had issues finding the brown bottle 3% as well. When I did find a store that had it, they only had two bottles left. I use 7% for my well water system, and that is still available from Culligan.

Dollar Tree, $1.25 a bottle. Or Family Dollar, Dollar General.

I tried walmart, cvs, dollar tree/general. None of them have the 16+ oz bottles in stock. Had to resort to buying it from amazon. $25 for 6 of the 32 oz bottles.

I get mine from Menards.

66 cents for 16 oz bottle. You paid $2.08 per 16 oz's. Yikes!

Nah, covid inflation and because they know they can charge more. My local shops had been increasing the price like 10 cents at a time for a few years before, which ended up being like 30-40% increase over just a few years, then covid unavailability meant it was double the price, and it's gone up with grocery overinflation since. It's something like $4 a bottle at my local shop, though they are pretty consistently running 2 for 1 deals, of course to make it seem like the price is not as gougey as it will be in the coming months when those stop. And this is for the regular 16oz brown bottles, it may just be unavailability/restriction of shelf space that's causing your trouble.

Recently many governments figured out that after high school chemistry classes, having h2o2 and some grocery available components, you could do some proper boom.

It is widely withdrawn in "the West" from the pharmacies. I checked with my Mrs, she works in the business and was advised by the wholesaler (yeah, I asked her to get me some as I ran out of it).

All for our safety of course!

I wonder when they will find out what happens if you know how to mix soda bicarbonate with powdered sugar :face-with-rolling-eyes:

No, but seriously, due to new regulations it might be harder to find.

I was surprised when I had a similar experience looking for hydrogen peroxide this past week. Multiple major retailers were out of stock, and we got one of the last bottles at the location where we finally found it. Not sure what is going on.

I’m now going to buy 3 bottles on way home, glad to see this thread

enter stage left, the run on peroxide stores
