I have an established mixed reef. Aprx 145 gallons total. 120 display, 30 gal frag tank, sump.
I just pulled the Trigger (pun intended) and ordered a 39 inch Trigger Sapphire Sump.

Jury is still out as to whether I keep a small fuge section in the new one or not. I have one in my old ADHI 30 but not sure if it is beneficial or not. Your thoughts on that welcomed.
I may convert the frag tank to a macro/mangrove tank.

Anyway, my question is does anyone have any advise on actions needed when I put the new sump in?
Does the sump have to "seed" itself? Anything I should be doing proactively while that happens to protect my livestock?

You should be ok just to add the sump no problem!
