New sump old tank problem

So I have been in the salt game for a lil while now my tank has been going for 2 years with hob everything I finally got a sump for it and installed it a few days ago and my rock is bleaching it was all full of coralite now white spots all over it is my old tank leveling out this normal I'm giving it a few hours to reach hight in day to test

Are you doing anything different besides the sump addition? Also, what kind of HOB filtration were you running?

It was a 110 aqua clear rated at 110 gal I have a 50 gal I have a fennx refugium on the back and a corilife bubble skimmer I went to a Ehopps WD 75cs i have a mag drive supreme pump rated a 700gph I have it set to approx 500 GPH

I did notice a spike in my dreaded asterina starfish there is a lot a lot can they be to lil jerks behind this mass of white spots and I do have a urchin he is small and a few spots is normal with him but wow I think I need to get rid of my star fish and get a Harlequin shrimp

Everything looks okay. I wouldn't worry about it. With dead coraline, I have noticed new growth tends to grow on top and faster.

I have actually noticed that the asterina stars will eat on the coraline and and leave white spots left behind like they only eat the top layer. This could be your problem since you said you have a large quanity of them.
