New System Drain Requirements

I'm looking for build my own aquarium this year.

My current system uses a Durso drain. I've had to restrict the return pump as when running at 100% capacity it's noisy and makes a constant flushing sound. Very normal from my research.

What alternates are there?

Bean Animal?
Herbie?

What's the best/most common quietest and easiest to build?

Bean Animal the best = 3 pipes
Herbie next best = 2 pipes
Both are easy
The bean is a herbie with extra emergency. I find it is a bit easier to keep quiet and dialed in.
