New T. Maxima?

You happen to see it before you bought it? Picture or anything?

I wouldn't worry though, it's beautiful. Looks great.

Ok just got done inspecting for p-snails using a magnifying glass. No snails! However the Clam has attached itself to the rock, good thing or no?
This is my second time owning a clam. My first one lasted 2yrs. It was a T. Crocea. Broke my heart when I lost it. Has taken me 2yrs to work up to getting another.
This is great, before you know it you'll catch the clam bug and have 3-4 lol

Bought it last Saturday from our local swap. I know the seller very well. Where he got it I'm not sure. So I watched the clam for about 4hrs before bagging it and bringing it home.

I have a question. Do you recommend dipping a calm in coralrx before placing in tank? I had a calm for 4 years only to loose it to it sucking in some aptasiax.

Well she's opened a little more. But no where near as much as I've seen some. This is about it.

Oh wow, I think it looks great! How much they open is pretty individual and also can depend on lighting. I picked up maximas from PEA that were wild and Dr Mac said they do not open much, and they didn't, lol! So don't stress. Here is a pic of two wilds with my other clam. That is all the more they opened ever!
