I just purchased a new 24" t5 quad fixture for my 30 gallon reef. I have them about 4-5" from the water surface. Is this too low?

I also have my sps frags about 1-2" below the water surface.

Should I move my lights up? They aren't as bright as my blackboard leds, I was suprised. This is why I'm wondering if I should keep them close to the tank.

TIA

I forgot to mention the lights are

1. ATI Blue+
2. Giesemann Pure Actinix
3. ATI Coral Plus
4. ATI Purple+

I really did not want to add the Giesemann, instead I wanted to add another ATI Blue+
Whenever the fish store gets more ATI bulbs in stock I probably switch it out.

Sorry again. I just noticed in the photo it looks super blue. It is no where near this color in person. It's a white-blue and light purple color all combined.

Hard to really tell you if the light is too low or not. Let the corals tell you, if you don't see any pe or bleaching then move the corals down or raise the fixture a bit. It'll take some trial and error but you will eventually find the sweet spot.

Thank you
