New tailspot blenny scratching against rock?

Hello everyone,

I just got this new blenny and it has been hiding in the rock work but today when I turned the flow off he seems to be scratching against the rocks.
Could this be due to ich or a parasite ?
you can see it at the start and end of the video

Is he doing it constantly....do you notice any spots?

It is possible it's a parasite. It may not be, however. Was he quarantined before being added to your display tank?

He was not I just kind of yeeted him in. (acclimation of course )

Umm it's hard to tell because he is mostly in this cave. I did see a black spot on his under belly but idk if they all have that

The blenny seems to be doing it more now when the flow is off, and I just saw the clown fish do it about as well

he didnt do it in video but mine does do that occasionally and I believe its a habit rather than parasitical issue. Thet require more than meaty foods, so include herbivorous foods to like formula 2 and veggie diet etc. You can also try feeding it nori seaweed as it will try to nip at the ends of it because it has no teeth. Tail spots graze on hair algae and other green algae primarily on the rocks or glass as well.

Yea I have vitalis algae pellets ! I think I gonna try to get something to boost the immune system! I’m just worried bexauxe I want them to be well and healthy and cuz I live in Canada I don’t have much medications

The fins look a bit off today idk if it’s some sort of parasite or maybe ammonia burn (i use api test kit the most I tested was 0.25) I added prime just in case and will be doinf a wc but I’m confused at what it could be

Great pics. This looks bacterial as there is fin and tail rot (sounds so bad) present.
Fin rot is caused by a normal bacteria in the tank water. It's usually harmless, but can begin to grow on a given fish if it overwhelms immune system, much like fungus on humans. Start with a good water change and add Maracyn 2 which would be the most effective choice. Mardel also makes Maracyn plus which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic for controlling the bacteria that cause mouth fungus, fin and tail rot, Popeye, dropsy and even ulcers.

Here is another close up ! Yea it could be fin rot, it doesn’t seem like ich but idk maybe velvet??( hope not ) what is weird is that both fish have it not
I also live in Canada so medicstion is super hard to come by

Velvet would cover the whole body looking like the solar system
