If you're not gonna get the Oceanic Ultimate then don't bother ... it's not Starphire glass. Get the AGA cause it's probably cheaper and it's the same thing.
I'm not sure the price difference between the AGA and the tech but Oceanic and AGA are now the same company.

EDIT: Just looked at the Tech Tank and it's way way cooler... it has a single over flow so it's easier to plumb and alot more room uptop. The AGA 120 has 2 overflows and takes up space.

I have the AGA and the center brace doesn't bother me but the overflows aren't the best. Plus I just realized Oceanic Tanks ususally come with the overflow kit where the AGAs are seperate.

Change my vote.

I have the tech tank and it looks great. I have not scratched it. The only problem is the stand. If you spill a little water then it will bubble and warp.

i really dont like the center brace in the aga model and the stand on the tech is junk

well i am working 6 days a week and dont want to look at wood on my day off

this is a hard decision

the price on the AGA 120 with stand 1 year old is 375.00 (its not all about money I am wondering if i should just get the AGA

the tech tank is starphire as is the ultimate. The difference is the tech tank has no center brace, where the ultimate has a center glass brace that is about 10" wide. The back of the tech tank also comes painted where the ultimate does not.

Dont get me wrong, the tech stand is beautifull, but for 500 bucks they should have waterproofed it a little better. I contacted oceanic and they wouldnt do anything for me.

does any ones silicone have bad spots in it

i read a lot of bad spots and bubbles in the silicone
