Tank is six weeks old and I just started getting diatoms in as expected. All parameters are good, but phosphate is at 0. Should I dose or wait?

Temp 76 F
pH: 8.3
Ammonia: .02
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
Phos: 0
Salt: 1.025

Wait. There is nothing to be gained by interfering with the cycle of algaes. If its still horrible at 6 months, then some intervention can help. Allow nature to work now for a better future in the aquarium.

As long as i keep my nitrates up should I be able to avoid dinos?

Only my thoughts but avoiding what needs to pass naturally is unnecessary and will just delay maturity. It all leads to a balanced biological diversity. I have zero detectable nitrates nor phosphates but a clean aquarium. I did put on a health UV system.
