Hey guys.
I started out a new tank after being out of the hobby for a few years. Despite my wife's opinions I just try to ignore them, lol.
I'm running a JBJ 24 gallon nano and started with live sand and about 15 lbs of "dead" rock and 10 lbs of live rock. I am running the stock 2x36 watt lights but have replaced the included media with Purigen, Chemipure Elite and filter floss in chamber 1. Rubble rock in chamber 2 then my heater and rerun pump in the 3rd.
For flow I am using the stock return pump but added the rotating deflector to it and also added a Korillia 425 powerhead.
The tank has been running for about 6 weeks and everything seemed to settle after about 4 weeks. Week 5 I added my cleanup crew which was a mix of blue leg and scarlet hermits as well as various snails. Week 6 I added my fist soft corals. A small Kenya tree frag and a toadstool leather. Over all I will continue to stay with various softies for this tank.
Next week (week 7) as long as parameters remain stable I will add my fist fish. My stock I was looking at was a pair of clowns, a blue damsel and a forth fish maybe a goby or lawnmower blenny.
Over all things have been going well and I am happy at where I am but figured I'd bounce all this off you guys and see if you would have any recommendations for corals and livestock. I added a few pics just because b
Thanks guys.
