I would like to do another saltwater tank. I had one long ago when I was a kid and have had mainly African cichlids since. I am trying to figure out how much of my stocking wish list can actually go in 1 tank together with each other. Help with my stock list would be appreciated.

Tank size: 2x2x8ft ... want to see if the 8ft will let me get most of what I want before I
commit to a saltwater that big.

Filtration: 1lb per gallon dry rock with a 40lb box of live rock to get it started, 1 inch live
sand, 35 gallon wet dry with marine pure and seachem matrix in place of the bio balls, and
a protien skimmer in the return area.

Stocking wish list if possible:

1-2 anemone: I like haddon's carpet, malu, and rosebulb (open to reccomended types)
Clowns: Either a pair of tomato clowns and a pair of 2 banded or a pack of small tomatos

Angels: Regal, Scribbled, Dwarf lemonpeel, Dwarf Flame, Dwarf coral beauty

Damselfish: x4 blue devils or x4 Tracys Damselfish

Tangs: Achilles, blue caribbean, blue tang, yellow belly regal tang

Wrasse: Scotts fairy wrasse

Misc: Cuban hog fish, Grunting Picasso, Pakistan Butterfly

A clean up crew that won't get eaten

Variety of Corals

Is this possbile in a 240 Gallon and if not how close can I safely get?

i do not think you would have a problem with that bio-load but depends on the size of the fish, specifically the tangs as they need some space, as a side note i am not a fan of any damsels, but if you are going to get them add them last.... but that might just be me

Damsels and Tomato Clowns are problematic. Tomato Clowns are arguably the most aggressive clownfish out there. Can't tell you how many I have seen at my LFS that were in quarantine tanks returned by the owner for aggression issues. Damsels don't play nice either.

The damsels listed by the op are some of the better behaved damsels.

While tomato clowns can be aggressive, in an 8ft tank and with the stock selected shouldn't be an issue.

True, the only one I would be concerned about would be the Pakistan Butterfly
