New tank: Blue or Black background?

How do you apply your background?

I chose Cheap black craft store roll on paint. I did see a pic of tank that started as dark blue at the bottom and got lighter as it went up. Kinda looked like the ocean.

Shadowbox, if you can do it.
Personally, I don't care for a colored backing.

I would go blue if you can find a blue overflow. Then match your paint. Haven't seen an overflow made of blue acrylic in years.

An outfit called wetdryfilter.com used to have them in the Huston area. Must have gone out of business, too bad. Bought my first overflow from them.
