I am currently on the spending spree of purchasing all the necessary parts to get my new tank build up and running. Ive been gettin ready for this build for about a year now, by buying nice equipment that is top notch in my book ( MP10's, Tunze pump, New tank and stand to my liking, BRS Dosing pumps,Tunze ATO's, New BRS R/O just for this tank, ETC.... the list goes on). But ive been putting off lighting for last, and now that im approaching the end i need help on what would look good on my tank. The Tank is 36x18x18 and im super stoked to be drawing near the end. I Love the blueish type look that 14-20k halides give but i love the colors that my t5 setups produce. Ive seen halide & t5 combos, halide setups, t5 setups but i just cant decide what would give my Crazy SPS/LPS tank build the colors i want. Any suggestions would help, also what type bulbs, how many, what mix, what color etc... thanks guys hopefully this will get me off to a good spot on deciding.

I am loving my ATI dimmable T5 lighting right now, just bought brand new 3 weeks ago with the Blue+/Purple+/NG 14K. All my new coral are looking good, at three weeks.

I researched for months and wanted LED but didn't like what they had available ... then I found an awesome LED with T-5 system (Orphek atlantik) and was about to buy it ... but it was so new that they are still manufacturing it. You might want to looking into that combination of lighting LED/T5 ... you can get the PAR you need but the extras too like sunset/sunrise/thunderstorm/shimmer effect.

Yes I would love to have a combonof t-5 and leds light fixture. I think the tank would be amazing with that combo. I love t-5 not really into the leds. More money to buy for you to save in electric. So where exactly are you saving at. Not the beginning if your payingmore for a led fixture. I believe they're trying to put one past us. I guess I would say that because I have bought lightingmfixtures used. Just got a 48" t-5 4 bulb fixture with digital timer and leds for $125 so yes t-5 would be just great for me.

Dimmable T5's ? Can you show a pic and its an ati with led dimmable? Thanks

The Atlantik fixture does not contain T5's. We offer a full LED solution for your marine environment. We target a very specific spectrum known as PUR (Photosynthetically useable radiation)

Our fixtures give high PAR and PUR without the use of T5 or MH integration.

The Atlantik contains 4 channels of control to allow the user to dial in the exact look that they want all while keeping you withing the PUR band that will make you successful.
