Our 150 gal tank is just about complete its cycle and I wanted to be sure I have the appropriate level of calcium and alkalinity. we intend on keeping soft corals for the most part.

Can someone please provide guidance on calcium and alkalinity?

This thread has some great information on suggested parameters for saltwater aquariums. Any other questions you have on water chemistry can likely be answered by @Randy Holmes-Farley. There is also a forum dedicated to water chemistry questions here.

If you are keeping mainly soft corals, normal water changes with a good quality salt should keep your calcium and alk numbers in check.

my 120 gal. has softies and a few lps. my calc is about 380. no dosing and wc's every other week. everything is doing fine. softies do not need loads of calc.
