New tank cycle, ammonia question, red sea kit

Hey all,

I started my tanks cycle which was with dry rock and bare bottom with adding a deli shrimp for 3 days. I removed the shrimp yesterday and received my ammonia test kit by RS in the mail today. Ammonia looked to be at the 0.2 color.

My question is what is an expected ammonia rise sufficient to be considered a cycle? Do I need to be dosing ammonia? I also started dosing microbacter 7 today after I tested for ammonia. Plan on 3 caps daily in my 75.

It'll be fine unless it's going to be days between finish cycle and adding fish. You can always 'ghost' feed instead of dead shrimp. Just a few flakes every few days will decompose and keep your tank cycled nicely.

Alright this may work. I anticipated it may have to sit for about 3 weeks that I just started dosing bacteria. I can pick up some flakes and throw some in every 2-3 days.
