New tank 90gallon. Threw 3 jumbo shrimp in 3 weeks ago, and waited. It’s done cooking. Zero ammonia and nitrite. 20ish nitrate. Do big water change, test again then start adding.

Remove what's left of the shrimp so your nitrates don't continue to rise. Do a large water change and should be ready for first occupant once it's gone through QT.

3 weeks does seem a little on the short side. Did you start with live sand or add bacteria in a bottle?

Live sand. I’m in agreement on seems short time. I’m going to do a water change, 30gallon to start, test again in couple days and see where nitrates are. At least that’s the plan. I’m open to any and all suggestions.

I added nothing. Just 3 jumbo shrimp. The rock is coral reef saver dry rock. I rinsed it thoroughly off dust before putting in tank
