I started the cycle with dead LR, new sand (Seafloor Special) and a deli shrimp. Two weeks into the start of the cycle I lost sight of the shrimp and didn't feel like tearing the rocks apart looking for it.

Last test phos .05 or less on the Elos kit and at the LFS and Ammonia .01 @ LFS (today about 1hr ago) I have done several 45gal WC's to help knock down the ammonia but can't get it down to "0".

Any ideas or suggestion throw them out??

Maybe your cycle never started like you thought and when the shrimp finally decomposed it really started it. Doing the water changes is probably messing up the cycle so the ammonia continues to spike. I'd quite doing water changes for a bit and watch how ammonia levels go.

Did you clean off the dead rock with anything?

i'm always buy bacteria additive to speed up and make it safe...I had never lost even one fish....I cycle all my tanks between 2-3 weeks...

The best thing you can do is just be patient with it.
