I recently upgraded to a beautiful 350 gallon tank from a 165 gallon tank. Well, this afternoon the new tank completely cracked and I was very close to loosing all my fish, corals, and anemones. And I have to give a huge shoutout to Aquatic Jewels in Hollywood, FL #aquaticjewels who came to the rescue in seconds and rescued all my fish, corals, and anemones. If it weren’t for them, I would have lost everything.
Now we need to figure out why the new tank cracked and that all the fish, anemones and corals stay healthy from all the stress.
I can see now why it’s so easy to give up when a reef catastrophe happens.

Yes. All leveled. Nothing of the sort. All I can think of is maybe a microscopic stress fracture occurs when transferring the tank to the stand and once filled water pressure was too much. The person that built the tank has an amazing record

Out of level will be a sure bet for failure. Although possible that it was poor construction and sealing, may be ruled out for new.
This is a true disaster and sorry to hear but elated to hear that an entity was there to assist with livestock.

Gaston?

Very sorry to hear that. I have had 2 tank failures (1 cracked and another 1 leaked) before and they were both disasters. I am dealing with another cabinet issue right now, which is not good. I have thought about quitting so many times... hang in there!

One thing you may want to check is if the tank sits flat and touches the cabinet bottom evenly even though your tank could be leveled perfectly.

So happy this worked out for you. The reefing community are some of the best humans in the world.

I think all of ya in the hobby that have this fear. I really was so lucky they were able to help and save and temporarily hold everything until the tank gets fixed.

I keep my large salt water tank in the basement lol - the 210 gallon freshwater is up top.
