New tank equipment yes/no?

i would like some help, my problem is I just set up my new tank and I find myself wanting/needing a controller. I have another tank that’s a few years old that I plan on breaking down soon that has an apex. So you you guys break down the old tank use that apex or would just buy a new one and sell the old one to get a new start?

I don't see any reason not to reuse the old apex. If you sell it im sure you'll take a big loss

I guess it depends on what you mean by old. If it’s a classic, now discontinued, there may be reason to replace it if you want some of the newer features. If it’s the newest model with just a bit of mileage then no reason to replace it.
