Hello everyone, my main tank is doing great and thriving well. While on Facebook marketplace I came across what I believe was a great deal for $50. Red Sea Max 130D, actively setup up but heavily neglected. After setting up at home I’m setting back trying to decide what I should do with this tank? I’ve seen people cut the plastic rim off the top making it look rimless and I think that would look great (might tackle that diy project), any input? The tank doesn’t have an external sump but has built in back sump, should I just use that or drill back compartment and add sump below? Due to no hood what type of light should I look at getting that’s reasonable? And the main question of all should I wipe the whole tank and start over or attempt to deal with the algae and possible hitchhikers in there? I’ve attacked some photos to allow you guys to see what I’m dealing with, all suggestions are welcomed? Thanks

I would wipe the tank and do something else. maybe a pair of clowns. I would also remove the rim and add a sump below
