Using Brightwells Dry Rock bacteria starter kit. On day 3 now with no sights of nitrite but I'm being patient. My question lies with my PH. It's well bellow the chart indicator and the lowest value on there is 7.6 (therfore not knowing the exact number, but lower then 7.6) Been like this since day one.
As I'm new to reefing and this being my first tank, did I do something wrong or is this part of the cycling process (not that I'm aware of) ?

I'm using dry rock and dry sand.
Current tank parameters:

Salinity: 1.026
Temp: 25.9c
PH: Less then 7.6
Ammonia: 1.1
Nitrite: 0

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If your tank has adequate aeration, 7.6 is most likely an issue with your measurement device.

Try a cup aeration test...

That tank is gonna do all sorts of weird "unexplained" spikes here and there as it settles in. Just give it time. Day 3 I wouldn't worry about testing much other than the ammonia cycle. The dry rock is gonna leech phosphates for a bit too, so don't get discouraged.

Thanks mate. Appreciate the reassurance. As its my first tank I keep second guessing myself that i've done something wrong ;)
