Guys -
I have a new tank that's been setup for about 9 weeks. Its cycled and I introduced my first fish and two peppermint shrimps a couple weeks ago. I started to see a copper color algae that looks like a dusting on the rock and sand. It seemed to get worse over a 24 hr period. I use RODI water and get 0 TDS according to the meter.
My current water parameter spec's are:
Ammonia = 0
NO3 = 2
Alk = 7.4 dkh
PO4 = 47 ppb
Calcium - 480
Other than weekly water changes what can I do to get rid of it or is this just something I have to deal with being a new tank?
