I just got 2 clowns from my sister. Both ocellaris I believe (white and orange) and black and white.

So I acclimated them and I put them in the tank. They both went in to the corner of the tank and have been there for hours.

The blank and white one looks like it’s swimming on its side while the orange one is staying close to a rock.

Could it be that I have too much current I have a 400gph power head and a small power head.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in Advance

New tank as in you just set it up and put them right in after acclimating them?

No the tank has been running for 2+ months.
There is no other fish in there.

But good news. The white and black one was swimming on the other side of the tank this morning [emoji4]

Staying in one area, often corners, is very normal for new clowns. My newest pair of onyx clowns were the most stubborn of any of my other clowns, they stayed in the same spot for 3 days before starting to venture out to see the rest of the rest if the tank.

Ok just checking. Seems a lot of people are just starting up tanks and throwing fish in the same day or so. Clowns are hardy little fish and usually adapt pretty fast, at least from my experience. Are they eating good? I’m glad to hear they’re on the exploring side now. Good luck.

Got them late yesterday so I didn’t feed. Wanted to give them some time to adjust. I will try to feed today sometime later after they get used to the new environment.

Clowns have always been my favorite, I have 6 currently. This pair (that I called onyx are actually Darwin's, I just woke up from a nap so my brain isn't working yet lol) were my most stubborn to get eating as well. It took them about a week to eat anything, but they eat as soon as food hits the water now. The tank these 2 are in is my newest but it has been set up for almost a year now.

Edit. I think this question may actually have been for the OP but you replied to my reply so I'll keep this up lol
