I have an established pair of Ocellaris Clownfish (one orange and one B&W) that have been together for a year and a half now. Long story short, I moved apartments, had to move everything from a 46gal to a 29gal temporarily while I set up my new 55gal in my new apartment. Now, I was thinking when I officially upgrade that I might add two more young clowns. My thought was that if I added all four of them, two new and two old, to the new 55gal at the same time that they would all get along. I've read that Ocellaris will sometimes form groups of four in the wild, that sometimes a pair will accept a third and that it would be better to go the route of adding two clowns, or a pair, of another, less aggressive species. I guess my questions being:

1.) First and foremost, is four Clownfish in a 55gal aquarium just a bad idea no matter what the circumstances?

2.) Keeping in mind that they are all being introduced to an entirely new tank and that the new clowns won't be a pair, what is the likelihood that adding two smaller Ocellaris will result in four happy clownfish? (four together or two pairs)

3.) Skunk Clownfish are supposed to be less aggressive and I've read that Skunk and Ocellaris Clownfish will sometimes share an anemone in the wild. What is the likelihood that adding two Skunk Clownfish will result in two happy pairs of Clownfish?

4.) If Skunk Clownfish are a possibility, can an Orange Skunk Clown be paired with a Pink Skunk Clown?

More than a pair in a 55 might work in the short term, but IMO/E, a spawning pair will form and not take too kindly to the other pair in the tank.

One of the aggressive spawning pair of clowns that I have kept was a pair of pink skunks --- they lead to the death of my golden dwarf angel. They were worse than a spawning pair of Clarkii and Maroons.

For #4, if only a total of 2 clowns, it could work, should present the same issues with pairing any clown.
