Hi there I have just started a new reef tank I'm about two and a half months in I'm just waiting on my utilitarian fish to get in I have two clown fish I'm starting to get hair allergy I have a few corals I'm wondering if I can turn off the lights for a few days to kill off the algae will it hurt the coral

Thank u I was not sure if It would so I'll just be patient and wait for fish to get in
I was impatient and I didn't wait to put the Corals in after I had to utilitarian fish thriving so now I'm waiting on my bristle tooth pain or brush tail Tang which I get tomorrow but since I turned on the lights the algae is starting to grow

You can as residual light will be sufficient until livestock arrives
