New Tank Question

Alright I'm going to set up a ??g Breeder Tank. I'm going to set it up on a really, really sturdy dresser. The dresser is approx. 3 feet long. I want a nice breeder tank that fills in most of that. Any tank size ideas? And what is good for lights on a breeder? I'm going to do acans, mushrooms and leathers.

A 40 gal is 3 ft long but you may not want to fill up the whole top of the dresser.
