So my brother and i are starting a 75 gallon tank, we decided to do dry rock since its cheaper and so we can have it the way we want. So the tank been plumbed and has been running about a week. We seeded a large piece of live rock in the display and also put one in the sump. We also filled the tank up with water from a water change of an another tank. Finally we also added a few live sand to the sand.
we also have been adding pieces of mysis and skimmate .

So the question is, could we go ahead and add a few chromis to help seeding the bacteria even more ????

We will test ammonia, nitrite and etc tomorrow.

Thank you
Thomas

I would check the readings first, then possibly add the fish. I try to never cycle with fish. If needed, use a bateria additive likie Seachem Stability. GL

Just let it run its course. Shouldn't be much longer and it will be done. Why put fish threw the stress of that? Get one of the many bacteria additives and use it. Instant ocean, brightwells, seachem. And I'm sure many others have something to.

I agree, let it run it's course. If the Ammonia and nitrites are both zero or close to it, then I would add fish. Adding fish before the cycle is through is just unnecessary and stressful to the fish even if they are just Damsels.
