New Tank Question

Recently upgraded and in the process of cycling my new tank. Doing a fishless cycle and used Dr. Tim's One and Only along with his Ammonia products. Problem is, in my excitement. I forgot to 1. Turn the return pump off and 2. take out a piece of polyfiber that the sump came with. Do I need to start again?

I checked the Ammonia levels today, 24 hours later, shows 2-4ppm. Thanks in advance.

With noticeable ammonia levels I would add some more tims. Give it a couple days and it should be good.
