Hello everyone, I recently set a 26 gallon bow front tank and have been running it for about a month now and I have noticed that I have some rather larger bristle worms running around in my tank now. They were hiding in some of the live rock I purchased awhile back. My question is should I try and get them out of the tank or leave them in there? My tank is just about finished cycling and I'm about to start adding my clean up crew to it and I don't know how they will interact with small crabs and shrimp in the tank. Any sugestions?

Hey jwb7273,

Are you certain they are bristle worms? There are mixed reviews about bristle worms. Some say that they can be a beneficial part of the clean up crew in your tank but if you start to overfeed they can starve out other members of your cleanup crew. The choice is really up to you. If you don't want to take any risks then removing them would be the best thing to do.

I leave the bristleworms in the tank. I think they are very good at helping the CUC I have. I never see them bothering any of them.
