Ugh...what do you guys think about this corner?

The silicone doesn't look too good and really concerns me. Need some advice here, reaching out to the manufacturer now...

The silicone is black and this is a corner, it looks to me like that's either air or water in there but I can't really tell.

it looks like it might have seperated and got a air pocket in there.... not to much of a concern since the inside bead doesn't do much but protect the actual bond, that is considered the structure weld.... thats the joint between the 2 pieces of glass.... just keep a eye on it.... what are the dimensions of the tank and what thickness is the glass????

The tank is 36" x 20" x 20" and honestly the silicone job on this tank in general looks sub-par which really makes me question this spot in particular. The bubbles are between the side panel and back panel between the two sheets of glass (structure weld?, it's not the outside or inside bead that is the issue.

Thanks for the advice Troy but considering the $$$ I paid for this tank I don't think I can live with what appears to be a sub-par silicone job.

Edit. 1/2" glasss

Good news. The manufacturer has decided to make this right and will be replacing the tank at no charge. Puts me behind a few weeks but such is life!

nice!!!! it was hard to tell exactly where the problem was from the photo but now that you mentioned where it is that makes sense....

Yes, very pleased. It is indeed a Leemar tank and although I wasn't pleased with the turnout of the first tank they are going above and beyond to ensure I'm a pleased customer. Two thumbs up in my book.

Can a mod please change the title to "Lee Mar Aquariums - Low Quality Silicone Work"?

Up to this point I've refrained from talking bad about the manufacturer but I've got quite a bit to add to this one and I'd like to make the community aware of the issues I've encountered with them.

To make a long story short the tank STILL hasn't been picked up and wont be for at least a week, it'll take Lee Mar 3 weeks to re-silicone the tank (they decided not to replace it) and then I'll have to go pick it up (renting a van with my own $). They've made it so inconvenient for me I just don't have the time to deal with it and am settling for this ****** silicone job that I pray won't leak someday. THOROUGHLY disappointed in this manufacturer who is supposed to be one of the best...

Sorry to hear that man : ( I'm sure you'll still have an awesome tank though! Definitely disappointing after your long wait though.

I'd go right to the lfs I bought it from. They need to pressure Leemar into doing the right thing.
