So I just bought a IM nuvo 25 lagoon with the little back sump deal. Planning on putting my starry blenny in there as he beats on my mag foxface and my Diamond goby in my 150…. Just curious if this tank would be big enough for a pair of clowns as well? Ocellaris or percula. Would like to get something before the blenny goes in and claims the whole tank. ( he lives with a pair of ocellaris now and is fine with them)
Also good with just him in the tank too if it’s going to be too much for the little tank.

Started the tank with a bunch of live rock and softies from my big tank. Going to be a softie tank. Maybe an anemone eventually

Thanks for your time!!

I think a pair of clownfish would do great in a tank that size. I’d get the smaller ones (ocellaris?). Good luck!

What do you think about the blenny in this tank? Almost just thinking him by himself but would enjoy a little more movement with him. Hate even taking him out of my other reef. He’s just a jerk to my other herbivore’s/ diamond goby…. But I’m attached to the little jerk. I know 30 gallon is recommended but the footprint on this tank is decent enough I thought.

I just reread your post and realized it was a starry blenny you have. I’ve had Midas Blennies with clownfish and diamond gobies with no problem in a 40g. I wouldn’t sweat the tank size between 25 and 30 gallons. You could always try and see what happens. At least you have another tank if you need to remove the starry for being agro. I love blennies. Hopefully someone with a starry can chime in. Good luck!

Thanks! Yeah the aio rear sump takes away a bit from the display…. Going to stock super light so hoping it works out…. He’s definitely got one of the bigger personalities!!! Now the trick will be getting him out of his current house! Little dude is definitely the boss of my 150! Yellow tang and mag foxface both bow down lol
