If you dosed nopox and have no skimmer (or the skimmer hasn't broken in), you get a bacterial bloom. I'm sure that's what happened. Nopox is a bacterial "food" that essentially build large amount of bacteria that use up nitrate and phosphate and then are skimmed out. If the skimmer isnt running or broken in, they dont leave and cause the water to get cloudy. If you dont have a skimmer or it isnt running properly yet, stop the nopox. If it is running, decrease the nopox or just stop for now.

I’m sure you’re right, I turned the skimmer off after a few days of the program as it was bubbling over excessively ( I figured due to the additives). I’ve got it running now but had to raise it 7” to keep it from constantly filling the cup with water.
The kit calls for Nopox each of the remaining 7 days of the program. I’m going to skip it until this gets under control. Thanks!

Nopox at first is handy for helping you prevent algae early on and for allowing you to cycle and not start off with high nitrates and or phosphates but it's not necessary for the cycling process
