Hey guys ive been in the hobby for almost 2 years now, and i want to upgrade to a more advanced setup then what i have now
Ive recently bought a waterbox, also i have some equipment ready for the new tank sitting in boxes like radion g5's, vortech return pump, redsea dosing pump,
Still need to buy a nyos quantum skimmer, a ecotech battery back up, and a few other bits and pieces

Anywho my question is, the day that i do the swap over, im planning to get a new aquascape and get new sand,
And i was going to place the old rockwork in the sump to seed the new system, and possibly avoid a cycle ?
Will it still go through a cycle or can i put the fish straight into the new setup?

it will go through a mini cycle. unless you allow the tank to seed itself for a few days

If you can’t have both running at the same time, then transferring the rock is the next best option. Most of the bacteria we care about are on the tank surfaces and the old rocks should do the job until the new rock is colonized.

Don’t reuse the sand without cleaning it first as most sand beds are full of gunk. You will likely go through the ugly stages again but using the old rockwork gives you a head start getting through that stage.

Good luck.

July 2021, a little over a year ago me and the wife switched out my 90g and replaced it with my 180g. It went in the same location as the 90g, in my bedroom and took us 12 hours! I already had tonnage of rock in the 90g display and sump and around a month before I got rid of the dividers in the 90g's sump and added water to bring the level up, so I could add a bunch more dry rock to let it seed before the transfer. Ive been doing things this way for decade's and I can't remember the last time I had to go through a cycle, probably early 90's when I was 23-25. A little more to it than that (that was the very short version)but the more rock the merrier! Worked out great. PM me if ya want some more detail (longer version).
