Alright. My water cycled a few weeks ago. Once cycled and established algae growth I added a CUC of 10 Astreas, 10 hermits, and 2 peppermint shrimp. I also added a few more pounds of live rock, on which I got a few nice hitchhikers.

All has been going well. Water tests good and remaining stable. CUC has been doing its job and I decided a week ago that it was time to add some fish. The initial stock was small, 2 ocellarus clowns and a royal gramma(which my daughter named Queen Elizabeth)

All have been enjoying their new home.

Yesterday we made another teop tonour LFS and added
3 trocus snails
10 baby hermits
1 pencil urchin
1 blood fire shrimp
2 damsels
1 green BTA

After a long acclimation they were added to the tank and allowed to settle in for a few hours we then gave them a little food, and everything is eating well.

The BTA was very attached to his rock at the LFS, so that came home with us as well. As of this morning he has not stretched his tentacles much, but we will give him time to get used to his new home and lighting.

This pic is of my tank setup supervisor "Oreo". 20201226_210057.jpg

Parameter checks will happen daily for the next week to ensure all remains in check. Hopefully when I get home tonight the BTA will be extended and happy.

We got some hitchhikers on all of our live rock which I could assistance in IDing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Your tanks looking great! This is a great start to a build thread if your interested in one.

Last pic is a bristle worm. Good guy.

4th to last pic are green palys. They will spread quickly and take over your tank. And are very toxic (I would remove them, handle with care).

2nd to last pic is a Kenya tree. Some say they spread and take over tanks but I've never had a problem with them.

3rd to last pic I can't tell. Can you take brighter pictures?

Also bubble tip anemones aren't always a good idea in a newer tank but since you used live rock I think it'll be ok, but just keep a close eye one it

Thanks Kenny. Any tips to removing the green Palys and ensuring they don't return?
I would pull the rock and use a good knife to dig into the rock at the base of the palys until they come off. It shouldn't be too hard since live rock is pretty soft. But like I said beware of the palytoxin. Gloves and glasses are a good idea

Thanks. I will have to get some long chemical gloves to get this done.
I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you don't go rubbing your eyes or boiling the rock or anything like that. But that's a good call on the gloves. I like to have some shoulder length gloves around even for regular tank maintenance. The less we can out our oily hands in the water the better!

There are a couple aptasia (dark anemone looking thisngs) which I recommend to rid of . Using a syringe, you can inject lemon juice into its center core or mix kalkwasser powder into a paste and inject the same into center core via syringe./
Pics a tad fuzzy, but I see what looks like a nudibranch ( zoa eating) . Remove that and discard ASAP

Fuzzy pic but sure looks like one next to plays

In continuing to improve the rank I have added a few more occupants last weekend.

2 x emerald crabs
1 x pincushion urchin
1 x hippo tang
1 x engineer goby
1 x falco hawkfish
1 x feather duster
1 x purple & green hammer frag

Also added another pile of snails & hermits to aid in the clean up.

Next week a jar of pods should arrive. Plan to seed the tank and start cultivating as well.

Below are some pics.

I am glad to see life expanding, color, activity and my tank environment continuing to improve.
