Hi All
I am new to saltwater so I am just getting started. Or local pet shop went out of business and I bought one of there display model saltwater tank. It is about 30 gallons and has an over flow system which I have not seen on any of the YouTube videos I have been watching. The weir is in the corner and has a single bulk head fitting about 1.5 inches OD. The return line is 3/4 inches and has an elbow built into the drain line (sealed) which feeds back up through the drain line into a couple of elbows and back into the tank. The sump is about 15 gallons and has soft tubing which connects the pump to the return fitting in the drain pipe. Has anyone ever seen something like this? The tank is a Jebo R608, I found it on the internet but can not find a write up or owners manual. This looks like it will work, just a little strange. I am heading out of town for a couple of weeks and I will assemble it when I get home. I am going to add a couple of valves before I glue every think up, there are not any in the system right now. Just wondering if someone has used a system like this and is there something unique about it.
Thanks a bunch for any help you can provide.
Dan

I can't fully visualize the picture you are trying to paint... But it sounds like you have an overflow with a single drain pipe and a single return line? Do you have a picture?

Is there a sump?

If not... It almost sounds like you are supposed to hook a pump up to the overflow to pump the water back into the tank. This would accomplish surface skimming, which is good, but also sounds like you have the basics to be able to easily add a sump...
