new tank with no nitrates and phos

not my first tank but just restarted after a move and my tank is fairly new setup in febuary- i currently have about 20 little frags (sps and lps) that are encrusting and branching and no issues
kalk in ato
alk-7.8-9-tested every few days still
cal 410-420-tested every few days still
mag only tested a few times was at 1300 ish

problem is i over did my filtration- which i have backed down and turned fuge light time down a lot and i cant get nitrates or phosphates up enough to really get into a water change schedule-
i was feeding really heavy but i over did it and my phosphate shot up to about .19-- cyano started they dropped back down after a water change and just a few days to around .02 ish- cyano getting better

nitrates have hovered around between 1-5

Question is if i do water changes weekly those nitrates and phos are gonna go down to zero range and i dont wanna be there - so is it better to try and feed heavy and do water changes( seems hard to balance that way ) or start lightly dosing aminos and trace elements?

if so whats best between trace elements and aminos - or should i jsut dose nitrates and phosphates manually

i understand the whole tank maturity and balance thing but im trying to be on top of it before it becomes an issue

basically what does everyone do when the fish stock is low still

they should go down. Your tank will cycle first to find its balance. Try adding a gravel filter to the sock, you can find them at fish pet stores. Try using Dr.Tim's One and Only. It helped my tank cycle.
