Hello all, new tank in the process of being set up 180l have salinity spot on and have introduced live rock however notice I have some form of white build up on the rock, unsure if it's anything to worry about and open to and help and advice. Cheers

Unsure of the white stuff, pic is blurry
Hard white stuff is dead coralline, fuzzy white stuff is sponge growth.
 
Think it's a sponge white growth then as it's fuzzy, is this a good thing to have?
 
No, not really. Sign of high nutrients in the water. At lwast for that type.
 
Don't have any fish or anything in there yet and still to add yet more rock, hoping once I do that it will even out, ph is quite high at the minute too
 
Yea, if its still in cycle, then it may just disappear in a bit.
 
Goodluck!! But yes I think the white sponge will go away when the tank is done cycling. I am not even sure if it is a sponge.
